Research Design

Method for Data Analysis

Besides, the coding process involved collecting relevant data and taking related images, categorizing sentences and pictures, and finally allocating a term to the categories during the labelling process. It is crucial to note that most of the information collected was gathered from internet primary and secondary sources of information. With that regard, the coding system was most effective in the categorization of sources and information collected.

The data categories and subcategories of the coding system correspond to the research questions and research sub-questions being studied. Each primary and secondary data source is marked with a number category and stored in a digital code folder on the investigator’s laptop for easy retrieval. I backed up the computer to the cloud and the external hard drive of the researcher. This research also uses the coding system to classify the specific pieces of information in each digitally coded data source. The detailed coding system used in this study allows researchers to mark each piece of text (data) with a numeric code corresponding to the appropriate data category and a letter corresponding to the relevant data subcategory.

The researcher used Microsoft Word to create a Chapter 4 document and saved it on his secure laptop. The study used the scheme of studying the coding system. Therefore, all qualitative data is organized and easily retrieved in this way. Similarly, I archive all printed resources in coded binders, corresponding to the online binders for each research and research category and subcategories. After retrieving all data sources, the content was reviewed and verified to ensure consistency with the subcategories of each research question. Researchers wrote notes corresponding to the “keywords” of the research coding system in the margins of each document. The way these written notes are created is similar to adding “tags” to electronic resources. The researchers carefully checked the data to ensure that each document was classified in the correct category and correctly numbered. The information extracted from the primary and secondary data sources and organized in the coding system is used to answer the research sub-questions and the single general research question of the research.
